Fortnite Battle Royale - What's new in July?
Update 4.5 - 03.07.2018
In update 4.5 you won't find any major changes. A new weapon was introduced - Drum Gun. This fast-shooting assault rifle is perfect for exerting pressure on enemy structures.
Fortnite World Event - 08.07.2018
One thing is certain. Developers have plenty of creativity and their marketing campaign for the fifth season of Fortnite: Battle Royale is probably the best example. Llamas were scattered all over the world, and a huge Durrr Burger appeared in the desert areas of California. More about the event and solving this mystery can be found in a specially prepared thread on Reddit.
Update 5.0 and beginning of a new season - 12.07.2018
The new season started in mid-July. The creators have prepared several dozen attractions for the players related with Battle Pass, which can be bought for 950 vbucks. In addition, a major update has been made and can be found at this link. Below you will find an overview of the most important improvements and changes.
Gameplay Changes:
- NEW SEASON! Season 5 is very similar to season 4. 100 levels to unlock, a few skins, smiles, etc. For 950 vbucks.
- A new item (or rather a means of transport) - an outdoor golf cart. The cart can maneuver, drift and jump over obstacles for a full squad (4 people). Its roof works like a bouncer.
- The map has been updated. New desert areas, Paradise Palms and Lazy Links have been added. A few unnamed locations also appeared in the game.
- Rifts appeared on maps. These are teleports distributed in strategic places, thanks to which you can move from one end of the map to the other. A great tool when you're unlucky enough to go into storm circles (Rifts eliminate the need to run for two minutes just to get to a safe zone).
- From now on, after firing any shotgun, you will have to wait until the shot from the second shotgun. Double pump/ double heavy shotgun / Pump+Tactical shotgun tactics cease to exist with this update.
- The machine gun with silencer received a downgrade - From now on the range from which the SMG damage decreases is reduced to 24m (previously 26m). The damage is reduced to 80% for hits from 35 m (previously 85% for 47.5 m). Also, the damage is reduced to 65% for hits over 50 m (previously 75% for hits over 70 m).
Battle Pass Changes:
- From season 5 onwards, the progressive challenges will no longer be limited to one season. From now on, they can be concluded at player's own pace.
- Progressive challenges will henceforth require a certain amount of exp. Also, they won't depend on the level of players in the season.
- The weekly challenges will henceforth be divided into two parts, free of charge (Free Pass) and linked to the Battle Pass. The first three challenges will be available for free, and the last four will only be available to Battle Pass holders. Four challenges will continue to be required to complete the weekly challenges.
Update 5.0 - 17.07.2018
Another content update brought about the first changes in machine guns. A tactical machine gun went into the treasury and was replaced by a new machine gun. Full description of the changes can be found on the official Epic Games website, and the most important ones are as follows:
- New Weapon - Submachine Gun. With 19-21 damage rate, this new SMG replaces the old tactical SMG - well known from previous updates. Tactical SMG has been added to the vault.
- Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle has been enhanced - Now it causes 75/78 damage instead of 63/66.
Update 5.10 and the first birthday of Battle Royale - 24.07.2018
Update 5.10 brought some changes to the game and a new weapon - the Compact Machine Gun. In addition, since the update has been released, it was possible to join the world event concerning the first birthday of Fortnite: Battle Royale. The event consisted of few challenges, and the prize was a backpack and graffiti. You can find the full notes of changes on the Epic Games website. Below we have presented the list of the most changes:
- Fortnite's first birthday!
- New weapon.. A submachinegun has been added (epic and legendary rarity) that has 50 ammo in a clip and is able to destroy any opponent in 0.2 seconds by hitting only eight of the 50 bullets. In addition, you will not be able to protect yourself against its firepower by building walls, because the new SMG destroys structures in 0.15 seconds..
- Slight downgrade for explosive weapons. From now on, the explosion range will be smaller, making it impossible to destroy half of the Tilted Towers with a single C4 package, and no fortress will be destroyed with a single RPG rocket.
- Changes in materials during construction. From now on, metal is as it should be - the strongest.
- Siorb's juice was amplified. From now on, every 0.5 seconds it renews 1hp up to 75hp. If the character has 100 health points, they will be transferred to his/her shield.
- Return of the temporary, periodical Playground mode.
Fortnite Battle Royale - What's new in June?
This chapter presents a summary of the most important changes to Fortnite: Battle Royale. It will allow you to find out when Epic Games decided to make radical changes to the most important aspects of the game and to check which items and limited time modes they added in June. In each of the following chapters you will also find a link to the main Fortnite page where you can read the full change log of a given update.
Content update 4.3 - 06.06.2018
Several things have changed in the 4.3 content update. First of all, we should mention the reduced effectiveness of shotguns and the reduction in the amount of resources obtained from lamps. Below you will find the most important changes brought by this update:
- Supply Llamas will now contain only 200 of each respective resource (instead of 500)
- Pump-action shotgun damage has been reduced from 90/95 (green/blue) to 80/85. Additionally, the headshot crit multiplier has been reduced from 2.5 to 2.0. Caution! This means that you cannot kill an enemy with 100hp / 100 shield with a single pump-action shotgun round.
- Trap damage has been increased by 100% (from 75 to 150 damage). Caution! This means you can die from a trap if you have less then 150hp / shield, so basically throughout 90% of the game. Watch your step!
- A new item has been added - Bouncer Trap. It is set just like all the other trap. It provides a jump upward or in a direction. The item can be found everywhere, in packs of three. Caution! The Bouncer enables you to execute long distance leaps and safely land potentially dangerous drops as it negates falling damage.
- Removed distance-based damage reduction when shooting structures from rifles, SMGs, and light machine guns, You can now destroy the structures from your maximum effective range.
- Increased effective range of explosives (C4) by 50%. Now you can destroy half of Tilted Towers using just two portions of C4.
Update 4.4 - 11.06.2018
The 4.4 update does not change much. Two quite interesting things have been added: a football stadium to celebrate the start of the world championships, and a new item - Thermal Scope Assault Rifle. Below you will find the most important changes in this update:
- New item - Thermal Scope Assault Rifle. Dealing 36-37 damage, the rifle can 'see' through walls. The perfect tool for those that would rather observe the heat of battle from a distance.
- Sniper Shootout is back as a limited time mode.
- Added new location - soccer stadium. You will find it in the northern section of the map, just beside the Pleasant Park.
Fortnite: Battle Royale for Nintendo Switch - 12.06.2018
From now on, anyone who owns a Nintendo Switch console can download Fortnite: Battle Royale for free. Everyone interested should refer to our guide, in which we describe the registration process in detail.
Content update 4.4 - 19.06.2018
Another update and a new batch of novelties. This time we can use specially designed grenades - Stink Bombs. They'll make it easy to smoke out even the most hardened campers, because let's face it.. who likes campers?
- New item - Stink Bomb. This grenade generates a cloud of deadly gas, which deals 10 damage per second for 9 seconds.
- Added new limited time mode - Final Fight Teams of 20. Mode in which five teams of 20 compete for victory. This time, though, the storm ring shrinks only three times, and the winner is chosen when the match time is over. The team that has the most players left, wins.
Update 4.5 - 27.06.2018
The next update introduces a few changes to the game. As always, we see the addition of some new items. This time it is a pair of guns. Below you will find the most important things added in this update:
- New weapon! - Dual pistols. Dealing 41-43 damage, this weapon comes in two flavors - epic and legendary. It uses medium ammo, usually reserved for assault rifles and revolvers.
- New limited time mode! Playground. Hundreds of thousands of players across the globe have been asking for this mode. You enter the server with your friends and create whatever you wish on the map. The match lasts for an hour. Additionally, this mode also allows for 1v1 battles, as friendly fire is enabled.
- The SMGs have now increases accuracy (by as much as 25%) and damage increased by 2. This doesn't affect the accuracy of the first shot. The buff is smaller for silenced SMGs - the accuracy bonus is only 10%.
- Items dropped in the water will now float.

Fortnite: Battle Royale Video Game
- genre: Action
- developer: Epic Games
- publisher: Epic Games
- platform: PC, PS4, XONE
Fortnite: Battle Royale is a third-person action game featuring battle royale mechanics. The game has been developed by Epic Games, one of the most recognizable studios in the industry. Throughout the years, the studio has delivered such video games series as Gears of War and Unreal. Moreover, it is known for creating the Unreal Engine technology, which has been used in the production processes of such games as Final Fantasy VII Remake (developed by Square Enix), Tekken 7 (developed by Bandai Namco) and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (Bluehole). Fortnite: Battle Royale for PC / Windows has evolved from Fortnite, however, it is a free-to-play and standalone production, which does not require the base game in order to work.
Fortnite: Battle Royale delivers only a multiplayer mode, in which a player has but one objective - stay alive until the match ends. A hundred players are transported onto an island with almost nothing in their inventory. When over the battlefield, they have to exit their transport and skydive towards the location they see fit to start the match, e.g. near buildings. It is important, as at the beginning of a match, a player is equipped only with a pickaxe, and he has to find or loot weapons, traps, and other pieces of gear. Thus, one has a bigger chance to find something useful in a house or a farm.

More About Fortnite: Battle Royale
We asked our staff not about lottery numbers, or a way to avoid traffic jams, but about what we can expect from the gaming industry in 2020. Things should be quite interesting with the advent of next generation, some great games, and perhaps VR 2.0!
Why not to kick some arse on our way to school or during a long queue? We asked ourselves that question, and as an answer we have prepared a list of mobile games that let you compete with other players.
Call of Duty, Minecraft, or Red Dead Redemption 2? The most popular games in the world are much less obvious than it might seem to regular players.
The great console war has recently witnessed the opening of a new front. This time, the struggle focused on cross-platform play, and the shortest straw was drawn by Sony, which received a healthy dose of criticism. But is it really that much of an issue?
In Fortnite: Battle Royale you can arm yourself with fast and deadly assault rifles, which spread fear in full auto mode. However, no fancy game could be done without the beloved sniper rifles. If a good sniper rifle is your dream, read this guide. But remember that shooting a sniper rifle in Fortnite Battle Royale differs a lot than shooting AWP from CS: GO.
Assault rifles
Assault rifles should be the main part of your equipment. Their efficiency is very good on all distances. Although the developers decided to greatly reduce their accuracy, they should be your first choice when you're exploring and encountering new equipment. Assault rifles are divided into three types and a few quality classes.
Fortnite Do Monster Count For Opponent Dmg 1
Assault rifles should be the main element in your gear. Their effectiveness is very high, regardless of the distance. Although the developers have decided to decrease accuracy of ARs, they should make your main weapon while exploring and searching for new weapons. Assault rifles have been divided into several types and several classes:
- Assault rifle - the best of its kind in the game. It has been divided into several classes: white, green, blue, purple and orange. The first three (white, green and blue) use M16, whereas purple and orange are SCAR rifles. When it comes to accuracy, SCAR is far superior to M16, which is why you should pick it up in any case.
- Burst Rifle - This type of ARs is effective only on short distance. It fires short, uncontrollable bursts, which is why it is not as accurate as a regular assault rifle. This rifle has been divided into several classes - white, green and blue.
- Scoped assault rifle - this rifle is a perfect replacement for a sniper rifle, thanks to its scope. Still, it is not as effective as assault rifles over short and medium distances. Due to its rarity, there are only two classes of this rifle: blue and purple. Scoped assault rifle is perfect for combat towards the end of the match, when enemies are standing on their fortifications at medium-long distance. Additionally, the weapon is perfectly accurate when zooming. This means that the bullets will fly precisely where you aim.
- Light Machine Gun - Unlike ordinary assault rifles and submachine guns, the lightweight version has a much bigger magazine and quicker shooting. However, it's not suitable for precise elimination of enemies due to its reduced accuracy and damage. Although, it's an excellent choice for operations with prohibitive fire.
Sniper rifles
Sniper rifle w Fortnite: Battle Royale is the only weapon using 'bullet travel'. This means that, unlike in other weapons in the game, a bullet fired from sniper rifle reaches its target after some time (which depends on the distance). Sniper rifle, just like assault rifle should be owned by any player. It is rare, but powerful. Bolt-action Sniper rifle can kill enemy in one shot, which depends on where you hit him. Just like in the case of other weapons, these have been divided into several types:
Chest Counts Fortnite
- Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle (single bullet version) - The most powerful weapon in the game. A single shot is sufficient to kill the enemy, regardless of where you aimed. An accurate shot to the head kills an opponent with 100 shield points. This version has several classes - blue, purple and orange.
- Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle - This version is not as powerful as bolt-action sniper rifle, but it makes up for that in rate of fire and clip size. It cannot be used for precision elimination of opponents, because it is not powerful enough to kill him in a single shot (unless you hit an enemy in the head who didn't have 100% shield). Just like in the case of Bolt-Action, there are several classes - purple and orange.
- Hunting Rifle - The rifle deals quite a lot of damage, although less than Bolt Action. One shot in the head will knock down an enemy with full shields. Unlike other sniper rifles, this rifle doesn't have any tactical optics, so you have to rely on the basic weapon sight. As with other snipers, the rifle uses the bullet drop system (for more information, see the section entitled 'Firing system - How to shoot?').
- Heavy sniper rifle - a .50 monster that deals 150 damage and can knock down even an elephant with a single shot. This weapon is also excellent when it comes to destroying structures. A single hit will deal more than 1000 damage to buildings. A shot bullet also has much lower falling speed when compared to other sniper rifles.
